Songkran empties inboxes in Thailand even when a mint does not move. Collectors travel; desks close; a Friday cosmic flight drop can sit unread until Tuesday, by which time the plate a cabinet needed is gone and a sparkle variant remains.
We delay two flight-related actions each April: we do not send new premium requests in the first water-festival week, and we mark mid-week mints as “read later” on the seasonal sheet unless the collector is already abroad and watching Bangkok hours on purpose.
The sequence of the run still matters. Delaying a letter is not the same as skipping a cycle. We write the skip only when the cover duplicates a cape diagonal already held. The rest wait in a folder labelled with the cycle number, not with the festival.
If you collect from outside Thailand, say so in the brief. We will still timestamp in Bangkok time, and we will still refuse to pretend that local holidays do not exist.
